HB 1912    RELATING TO THE MOTOR VEHICLE RENTAL INDUSTRY   CPC
        Defines "damage to rental motor vehicle" or "damage
        to vehicle".

HB 1936    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE             CPC
        Makes clarifying  amendments  to  the motor vehicle
        insurance   law   relating   to   the   statute  of
        limitations.

HB 2005    RELATING TO REVERSE MORTGAGES                   CPC
        Amends definition  of  "reverse  mortgage  loan" to
        mean a nonrecourse loan  made to the borrower where
        the committed  principal  amount  is  secured  by a
        mortgage  on  residential  property  owned  by  the
        borrower and  includes  the  cash  advances  to the
        borrower based upon the equity  or the value in the
        borrower's owner occupied  principal residence; and
        which requires no payment  of principal or interest
        until the entire loan  becomes due and payable; and
        which is made  by  a  lender  licensed or chartered
        under state or federal law.

HB 2017    RELATING TO COLLECTION AGENCIES                 CPC
        Exempts persons  collecting  debts for out-of-state
        clients by means  of interstate communication, from
        collection   agency    registration   and   bonding
        requirements.

 
HB 2129    RELATING TO PAWN BROKERS AND SECONDHAND DEALERS CPC
        Requires  secondhand   dealers   and  pawn  brokers
        ("dealers")  to  legibly  record  information  upon
        receipt of an article.   Also adds a definition for
        "government  issued   identification",   which  are
        required forms of identification  of the person who
        provides articles to the dealers.

HB 2130    RELATING TO SECONDHAND DEALERS                  CPC
        Requires  secondhand  dealers  to  include  in  the
        record book the thumbprint  of the person from whom
        the article was received.

HB 2218    RELATING TO INSURANCE                      CPC, FIN
        Authorizes   expenditures   out   of   the  captive
        insurance  administrative   fund   for  promotional
        activities.

HB 2219    RELATING TO INSURANCE                           CPC
        Requires the  insurance  commissioner  to  treat as
        confidential  all  nonpublic  financial information
        submitted by a captive insurer.

HB 2220    RELATING TO CAPTIVE INSURANCE                   CPC
        Authorizes captive  insurers  to  merge  or convert
        into different forms of captive insurers.

HB 2222    RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS                   CPC, FIN
        Appropriates funds  for  a  comprehensive review of
        the condominium  property  regimes  law and related
        laws and issues.

HB 2223    RELATING TO MUNICIPAL SERVICES             CPC, FIN
        Requires  counties   to   provide   same  municipal
        services  to  condominium  and  cooperative housing
        corporation communities  as  those already provided
        to residents of residential property.  Appropriates
        $ for county mandates.

HB 2252    RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE TAX             CPC, FIN
        Exempts certain transfers  from  the application of
        the conveyance tax.

HB 2352    RELATING TO SERVICE CONTRACTS              CPC, FIN
        Regulates sale of service contracts.

HB 2363    RELATING TO UNLICENSED ACTS                CPC, FIN
        Changes from  $1,000  to  jurisdictional  limits of
        district   courts   for    projects   exempt   from
        requirements that a licensed contractor perform the
        project vice contracts.
